La atleta Jana Koščak ha igualado, este domingo, su propio récord nacional de Heptatlón de Croacia cuando ganó el título del Campeonato Europeo U20 de Atletismo que se celebró en Tampere, Finlandia.
Jana se impuso con 6293 puntos, repitiendo el registro de Götzis 2023 (que, por cierto, es la mejor marca U18 de la historia).
La victoria de la croata no estuvo excenta de drama pues en el primer evento del concurso, los 100m con vallas, tropezó y casi cae, perdiendo preciosos puntos que le hubiesen reportado un resultado mucho más abultado.
Pero en la siguiente prueba, el Salto de altura, se elevó hasta los 1.92m, igualando su PB y superando el récord de esa prueba para los campeonatos (dentro del Heptatlón).
Otras dos marcas personales (14.00m en Bala y 2:14.56 en 800m) le permitieron llegar al total de 6293 puntos.

Croatian athlete Jana Koščak equaled her own national heptathlon record on Sunday when she won the European Athletics U20 Championships title in Tampere, Finland.
Jana won with 6293 points, repeating Götzis’ 2023 result (which, by the way, is the best U18 performance in history).
Her victory was not without drama. In the first event of the competition, the 100m hurdles, she stumbled and nearly fell, losing valuable points that would have given her a much bigger result.
But in the next event, the High Jump, he jumped to 1.92m, equaling his PB and beating the record for that event for the championships (within the Heptathlon).
Two other personal bests (14.00m in the shot put and 2:14.56 in the 800m) allowed him to reach the total record of 6293 points.
